HEY DONS! Could not attend the 1st general meeting? NO WORRIES! The agenda of the meeting, along with the membership application is attached below! FIRST OFF, let's look at some FAQs: Why is membership so expensive? We're an international club so we need to pay club dues to our mother club. It looks great on college applications to know you have been actively participating in an international, prestigious club! What benefits are there if I join Key Club? 1) We're an international club that is recognized worldwide. It looks great on college apps. PSSSTT Freshman, be sure to stay updated because we will pass out freshman representative officer applications soon! 2) We volunteer @ Disneyland Half Tinkerball Marathon! We help pass out water and cheer on the runners! Great way to earn hours and get a FREE DISNEYLAND TICKET!!! WOOOHOO 3) Fall Rally is also a huge event we attend at Six Flags. We meet other Key Club members from various schools and show our key club spirit. Yes, you get hours and get to go on the rides! 4) BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER! If you reach 200 hours by Senior year, members will receive a graduation stole when you graduation. This is a very honorable since we are one of the few clubs on campus that give graduation stoles. :) 5) SPIRIT SPIRIT SPIRIT. Key Club is the most spirited, energetic club on campus. We have many cheers that we will teach members throughout the year such as the "I Feel Good Chant". We love to have fun and show our PRIDE! Our division mascot is Green Monkeys. WITHOUT FURTHER A DUE, here are the files for the membership application, photo release form, and meeting agenda: Turn in the application AND photo release along with $13 to ROOM 405 by OCTOBER 13th! Starting on October 10, Key Club will be "trick or treating" for Unicef! Carry around your UNICEF box around campus throughout the week and collect some change. For every $20 you earn you get an hour!
Want to help out even more? We will be spreading this fundraiser to the whole school! There will be a homeroom competition to see who can earn the most money. But here's the twist, we'll be playing CHANGE WARS. Silver coins and dollars are positive points and pennies are negative. Homerooms may sabotage one another and who ever has the most points will win a prize!! What exactly is Trick or Treat for UNICEF? UNICEF and Key Club collaborate every year through the ELIMINATE Project in order to help get rid of Neonatal Tetanus, also knows as MNT. All these funds will be donated to UNICEF in order to provide vaccines for pregnant women throughout the world to prevent them from getting the disease. OOH OOH AAH AAH!
